Hungry? Late Friday Night Bites Are Here!

Downtown Hackensack is giving residents and visitors another reason to stay out a little longer this summer. Main Street Business Alliance (MSBA) is proud to announce the launch of Late Friday Night Bites, a new pilot program designed to establish Main Street as Bergen County’s premier destination for late-night dining and nightlife.

Throughout July and August, participating restaurants will remain open until at least 2:00 a.m. every Friday evening, making it easier than ever for diners to grab a late-night meal after concerts, community events, nights out with friends, or simply whenever those late-night cravings strike.

The initiative reflects MSBA’s ongoing commitment to creating a more vibrant, active downtown while supporting local restaurants and encouraging residents and visitors to experience everything Downtown Hackensack has to offer long after the traditional dinner hour.

Participating restaurants include:

• Whiskey Priest – 159 Main Street

• The Chapped Cheese – 163B Main Street

• SFC – Seoul Fried Chicken – 215 Main Street

Additional restaurants may join the program throughout the summer.

“Downtown Hackensack has become one of Bergen County’s most exciting dining destinations, and Late Friday Night Bites is another step in continuing that momentum,” said John T. Peters, Executive Director of the Main Street Business Alliance. “Whether you’re enjoying one of our concerts, attending an event, meeting friends after work, or simply looking for somewhere great to eat after hours, we want people to know that Main Street is open, welcoming, and ready to serve them. This program supports our local restaurants while creating another reason for people to share more time enjoying Downtown Hackensack.”

The pilot program is designed to encourage evening activity on Main Street and help local businesses attract customers during traditionally underserved late-night hours.

Visitors can savor everything from gourmet burgers and sandwiches to tacos, Korean fried chicken, and pub favorites without having to leave Downtown Hackensack in search of a late-night meal.

“One of the goals of the Main Street Business Alliance is to continue creating reasons for people to experience Downtown Hackensack beyond the traditional workday,” said Eric Anderson, Chairman of the Main Street Business Alliance. “Late Friday Night Bites supports our restaurant community, strengthens our nighttime economy, and reinforces Downtown Hackensack’s reputation as a place where people can gather, dine, explore, and enjoy themselves. As more people choose to stay local, programs like this help create the lively, walkable downtown experience we’ve been working toward.”

If the pilot program proves successful, MSBA hopes to expand Late Friday Night Bites into a permanent downtown initiative and welcome additional restaurants into the program, further establishing Downtown Hackensack as Bergen County’s go-to destination for late-night dining and entertainment.
