On Sept. 19, 2026, Downtown Hackensack transforms into a high-energy live music festival as 12 up-and-coming rock bands battle it out across two outdoor stages on Main Street for cash prizes, bragging rights, and a coveted performance slot at Hackensacktoberfest.

Hosted by the Main Street Business Alliance, the first-ever Hackensack Battle of the Bands brings together emerging talent from across Bergen County and beyond for a full day of live music, crowd energy, and downtown excitement.

This is not karaoke.
This is not background music.
This is real live music from hungry bands looking to make noise.
