Booktalks, Snacks and Skype with Author Lamar Giles

July 23 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Join us for an afternoon of amazing books and conversation. Our Teen Librarian, Keri, will booktalk a ton of books which you will have the opportunity to check out. Then we’ll have a Skype Visit with Author Lamar Giles. You can ask him any questions you have about his books, about being a writer or about the process of publishing a book. You can check out a copy of his book Spin starting on July 9 to get ready for his visit.

Teen Summer Reading Events at Johnson Public Library are FREE and open to all students entering Grades 7-12 in Fall 2019. You must register for the Summer Reading Program to attend events, but unless otherwise noted, you do not need to register for each individual event.

Teen Summer Reading Program registration begins June 1 and continues through August 1. Read two books and return a signed permission slip to attend our Laser Tag event at the end of summer. Read six books to be eligible for prizes, including a $50 gift card raffle. For more information, pick up a copy of our summer reading flier at Johnson Public Library.
