John Peters was appointed Executive Director of the MSBA in December 2022.<\/p>\n
John has been a serial entrepreneur since 1990 when, just after university, he co-founded Zeus Tours & Yacht Cruises, an international tour and yacht cruise operator based in Athens, Greece, and New York. He eventually opened offices in Rome, Salzburg, and Buenos Aires. In 1999, he successfully sold Zeus to FAR&WIDE Travel. John also grew and sold Tripology, a travel technology startup that was acquired by Rand McNally. John has held senior executive positions including President \u2013 Travel Media Group at USA Today<\/strong>, VP \u2013 Business Development at RCI\/Wyndham<\/strong>, and Managing Director for Brush Creek Ranch<\/strong>, the nation\u2019s #1 ranch resort. John mentors dozens of startups for various accelerators and is a frequent speaker and moderator at domestic and international conferences. John has been featured in such publications as The New York Times, USA TODAY, Wall Street Journal, Business Insider, Internet Weekly<\/strong>, and many others.<\/p>\n John also frequently lectures at universities about entrepreneurship and strategic partnerships and has taught Marketing Analytics classes. John accepted the GOLD Adrian Award for Digital Marketing Promotion for the \u201cBest of the Road\u00ae\u201d program he created, which generated over a billion media impressions in six months.\u00a0 John was also recognized as \u201cInnovator of the Year\u201d by the US Travel Association.<\/p>\n
