Downtown Hackensack Builds on Strong Turnout and Buzz of First Bar Crawl with Tacos and Tequila – Cinco de Mayo Bar Crawl
Hackensack, NJ – April 6, 2026 – Following the tremendous success and strong turnout of its first-ever Main Street Bar Crawl program, the Downtown Hackensack Main Street Business Alliance (MSBA) is keeping the momentum going with its next can’t-miss event. Introducing the “Tacos and Tequila – Cinco de Mayo Bar Crawl,” set to take place Saturday, May 2, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM across Downtown Hackensack’s Main Street.
Building on the excitement and community buzz from the inaugural crawl, this Cinco de Mayo-themed experience invites residents and visitors to enjoy an afternoon filled with bold flavors, festive energy, and a celebration of culture, cuisine, and connection.
With the fun, lively vibe expected of repeat bar-crawl participants and newly interested attendees, the event will transform Main Street into a tasty, colorful celebration highlighting Hackensack’s growing dining and nightlife scene.

Participating restaurants and bars include Sidebar Gastropub, Whiskey Priest, Casual Habana, El Alazan, and Noches de Colombia, with additional locations to be announced in the coming weeks.
To make the experience seamless and fun, the Bar Crawl Trolley will return, offering convenient transportation between participating venues so guests can explore, sip, and celebrate safely while enjoying the vibrant energy of Downtown Hackensack.
Each stop will bring its own Cinco de Mayo flair, featuring festive décor, themed cocktails, and exclusive “Bar Crawl Happy Hour” menus for wristband holders. Guests can expect tequila tastings, margarita specials, and flavorful food offerings that pair perfectly with the celebration.
